Our top 3 hair and beauty products (and why we love them)

Today marks a very special day for Livingstone – the launch of our Hair & Beauty Blog! We invite you to check back weekly for posts on top products in the market, staff picks, products that we’re loving, as well as general news in the industry and tips relating to hair and beauty.

We have a passion for hair, beauty, glitz and glamour – and we know that you do too! We’re excited to share this new chapter with you, and we hope to become your go-to source for all things relating to the hair and beauty world.

Firstly, to kick-start our first blog post, we’ve rounded up our top 5 hair and beauty products that our customers love, and we hope that you will too.

1. Livingstone’s Round Cosmetic Pads

Specs: Sealed edge to prevent fluffing, made of 100% cotton, with 80 pads per bag

Round Cosmetic Make-Up Pad
Item No.: COSPAD

Why we love it: These cosmetic pads won’t break the bank as are cost-effective for those on a budget. They’re great for cosmetic application and removal, as well as for tidying up any mistakes made during makeup application. The round shape allows these pads to be folded into other shapes for versatility, and the 100% cotton material and sealed edge makes these a clean and hygienic choice. Win-win!

Item Code: COSPAD (Handy hint: we have alternative shape and size options available for this product; clicking the link will allow you to browse our selection)

2. Sofeel’s Mini Wooden Spatulas

Specs: Each spatula has dimensions of 140 x 6.2 x 1.3mm, with 100 spatulas per pack

Mini Wooden Spatulas
Item No.: BROWBEAT

Why we love it: This spatula will give you easier access and reach in smaller areas such as eyebrows, upper lip, chin and more. Make sure to use a pair of gloves for hygiene reasons; you can read about which pair will suit your needs here. We also love that these are constructed of wooden material and are better for the environment than plastic applicators. You can read more about the eco-friendly movement in the beauty industry here – stay tuned for some more posts on this topic soon!

3. Lilith’s Eyelash Tinting Kit

Eyelash Tinting Kit
Item No.: MINIETINT*

Specs: Comes with 5ml tinting cream (in blue black or black) and 5ml crème oxidant, and lasts for up to 12 applications

Why we love it: Embrace bolder, darker lashes with this eyelash tinting kit. We love that there are two colour options, depending on your preference. Forget about your lashes not matching your hair colour, because this is the solution for you! With an application time of just 10 minutes, this kit is perfect for busy gals, beauticians, beauty lovers on a budget or individuals who can’t always get to the salon in time.

Top tip: Blue black will give you a bolder, darker colour on the lashes whilst brown will give you a natural, subtle tint.

Mixing ratio suggestion

Add 2cm of tint and 15-20 drops of the crème oxidant together

Mix until a creamy paste is achieved

Apply to lashes for 10 minutes, before removing with cotton pads and water.

Item Code: MINIETINT* (Psst! We offer two colours of this kit: replace the * in the item code with BB for Blue Black or BR for Brown)
