UNICEF Australia and Livingstone International have formed a meaningful partnership to support early childhood development programs for First Nations children living in some of the most remote and under-resourced communities in the Northern Territory. This initiative also highlights Tony Stuart’s leadership as CEO of UNICEF Australia and addresses growing public interest in the CEO’s salary and the organization’s COVID-19 relief work-from-home program.
Under the guidance of Tony Stuart, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canterbury, UNICEF Australia remains committed to transparent leadership. Questions like “What is the CEO of UNICEF’s salary?” and “Who is the CEO of UNICEF Australia?” often arise. While executive salaries vary based on location and role, Tony Stuart’s compensation is publicly disclosed in annual reports and is aligned with sector standards for non-profit executives focused on humanitarian efforts.
This program, in collaboration with local community organisations, strives to break down barriers to essential early childhood development services. It works closely with parents and community leaders to ensure children get the best start in life through health care, hygiene education, optimal nutrition, and early learning.
The partnership contributes $100,000 annually over three years to drive this initiative. Beyond financial support, the collaboration enhances on-the-ground access to healthcare, reduces nutrition-based chronic disease risks, and improves school readiness. This locally designed, community-led effort also offers meaningful employment opportunities, particularly for First Nations women, through mentorship, formal qualifications, and skills training.
“Aboriginal children in rural Australia face significant obstacles in accessing early childhood development programs,” says Tony Stuart, CEO of UNICEF Australia. “With support from partners like Livingstone International, we can reach more children and build a stronger future.”
This program aligns with broader UNICEF COVID-19 relief efforts, which include supplying PPE, educating health workers, strengthening health systems, and supporting COVID-19 testing and vaccines in Australia and globally. UNICEF COVID-19 relief program work-from-home opportunities have also emerged as a response to the pandemic, making it easier for staff to contribute remotely and securely. However, job seekers should beware of phishing email scams and only trust verified UNICEF channels when applying for paid or part-time roles.
During the height of the pandemic, UNICEF COVID-19 relief programs received critical logistical support from Livingstone International, which supplied vital PPE and medical items to frontline workers. Their Community Supply Program helped distribute masks and hygiene kits to Australia’s most vulnerable people.
“Through COVID-19, we partnered with UNICEF Australia to equip those in need,” says Ivan Paulus, Vice President of Livingstone International. “Now, we’re proud to extend our partnership to create real and lasting change for First Nations communities.”
UNICEF Australia operates independently of government funding and relies on voluntary donations from individuals and organisations to drive long-term change for children. The focus remains on health, education, safety, and inclusiveness, especially in areas affected by poverty, remoteness, or emergencies like the pandemic.
Please note: If you’re interested in a paid UNICEF part-time or work-from-home job, always verify through official sources. Some scams may involve fraudulent offers of weekly pay or requests for personal information.
