Environmental Initiatives

Environmental Incentives

We understand the responsibility and the importance we hold over how we can improve our operations for a greener planet.

Livingstone practice environmental initiatives within our offices and warehouses and as a result, we are ISO 14001 certified which is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system within workplaces.

We are working hard with our suppliers and partners to create and provide a wide range of eco-friendly and sustainable alternatives to your everyday products. We're committed to ensuring that these products will be accessible to all our customers and partners so that they can create greener choices and reduce our environmental impact on the world.

Climate Change

Livingstone recognises the importance of reducing our carbon footprint in all aspects of business, from our offices to our dispatch facilities and with our suppliers and factories.

By reducing our carbon footprint this mitigates the effects of global climate change and improves public health, boosts the global economy and maintains biodiversity.

We have introduced environmentally friendly packaging and expanding new eco-friendly product ranges. We have begun to implement this through our supply chain, consolidating our orders to minimise gas emissions.

In our offices and warehouse facilities we have introduced energy efficient lighting, fuel efficient vehicles and recycling programs. Our warehouses are now undergoing paperless orders. We will continue to improve our business practices to have a carbon neutral footprint in the coming years.

Watch this short video on how we will achieve our Carbon Neutral Sustainability Initiative by the beginning of 2024.

Quality & Assurance

At Livingstone, one of our main goals is to provide quality products at a competitive price. Throughout the years, our supply chain has constantly improved and updated to ensure that we are providing our customers with assurance over the quality of our products.

We pride ourselves on ensuring third party quality testing is performed prior to any shipment on all products to ensure we meets and exceed Australian, American and European standards.

We are also an accredited Australian Trusted Partner which is a partnership between Australian businesses and the Australian Government to streamline legitimate trade.

Ethical Sourcing

Ethical Sourcing

At Livingstone, we ensure to put an emphasis on the importance of behaviour and morals with all our suppliers before we go into business with them. Our main focus of managing our connections with our new and existing suppliers is ensuring they share our commitments to social and environmental responsibilities.

Livingstone is proud to be a member of Sedex; an organisation that enables businesses to work together to better manage their social and environmental performance and improve working conditions throughout their supply chain.

Gender Equality

With an increase in domestic violence cases, physical or sexual violence, Livingstone has implemented a Domestic Violence initiative, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all staff members.

This entails unpaid leave for anyone experiencing violent, threatening or other abusive behaviour and seeks to coerce, control or cause harm or fear. The leave is taken to ensure arrangements are made for the safety of the individual and/or their family members, attend court hearings or access police services. Support and confidentiality are provided and guaranteed.

The safety and wellbeing of all employees is paramount to Livingstone.

Diversity & Inclusivity

Diversity & Inclusivity

At Livingstone, we believe that everyone deserves the right to equal opportunities. We recognise the importance of diversity and inclusivity in our workforce and are committed to embracing a company culture that reflects that.

We celebrate and encourage inclusion and diversity in all its forms regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexuality and so forth. We have partnered with not-for-profit organisations that open doors for the disabled, Indigenous businesses and communities as well as social ventures so that we can continue to promote diversity throughout our supply chain and within our business.

Being an Australian owned company, we are passionate in developing key initiatives to an important movement by creating, supporting and providing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their communities and their businesses.

We are proud to announce our Indigenous brands Miyan and Duga that in hand will endorse our intentions of supporting Indigenous communities, projects, employment and key initiatives.

We worked closely with Indigenous artists Jason Douglas & Trevor Eastwood from Dalmarri in creating artwork for the packaging to help us depict our story and vision to improve healthcare to all communities by providing access to quality products.

Through our collaboration with Dalmarri, we were able to contribute to their movement in providing education and awareness to corporations, individuals and schools across Australia through art and further employment for Indigenous peoples.

By purchasing any of the Miyan and Duga products, 10c of every product sold will be donated to carefully selected Indigenous initiatives and communities.

Every $1 spent towards Indigenous businesses and products will generate $4.41 for Indigenous communities.
